The Golden Age Team

The work of the Golden Age Team consists of identifying paintings, drawings and etchings of 17th century artists from Gorcum, or works from other Old Masters who have made paintings of Gorcum, that are eligible for acquisition by the Foundation. Another possibility is loaning paintings to the Gorcums Museum for an extensive amount of time. The Team visits fairs, exhibitions and auctions at home and abroad. The work of the Golden Age Team consists of identifying paintings, drawings and etchings of 17th century artists from Gorcum, or works from other Old Masters who have made paintings of Gorcum, that are eligible for acquisition by the Foundation. In addition, the Team works on publicity, such as giving interviews to local and national newspapers, disseminating a newsletter, keeping the website up to date, and giving tours in museums that have paintings by artists from Gorcum. Furthermore, Drs. B. Biemans MA gives lectures about art historic developments in the 17th century and the place that painters from Gorcum have in this story.
