Annet Ardesch was born in 1953 in Den Helder and moved to Gorinchem in 1966. After secondary school and before starting her degree at the Academy of Arts, ‘St. Joost’, in Breda, she lived in Brussels and for a year in a castle near Liege. From 1971 to 1977 Annet Ardesch studied graphic publicity for one year and so called ‘vrije grafiekí (etchings, lithographic works of art, etc.) for five years. After that, she studied painting.

Since 1977, Mrs. Ardesch has been working as an artist in Gorinchem and her work has been exhibited regularly. In addition, she takes on assignments for private individuals, companies, organisations and the government.

From the early nineties, Annet Ardesch has also been working for an artist agency: she provided the publicity for artists, did bookings, translated contracts, designed posters and programmes, wrote texts, made photo series, and guided artists at home and abroad. Amongst these artists were Flairck (acoustic band), Laurens van Rooyen (pianist), Montezumaís Revenge (a cappella group), Kadanz (band) and Het Goede Doel (band). After this, she became the deputy director at Original Music/Laurens van Rooyen BV in Maarssen and she subsequently worked for years at De Nieuwe Doelen theatre in Gorinchem as the chair of the programme committee amongst other things.From the early nineties, Annet Ardesch has also been working for an artist agency: she provided the publicity for artists, did bookings, translated contracts, designed posters and programmes, wrote texts, made photo series, and guided artists at home and abroad. Starting in 1985, she has been writing accounts, reviews and interviews for the local press and in addition, she had her own art section and a weekly political cartoon. Ardesch had to stop with the cartoons because she was chosen as a council member in Gorinchem in 2000. 

Since 2004 she creates facial composites for the criminal investigation department of the regions Zuid-Holland Zuid and Rijnmond.

On 9 March 2010, Mrs. Ardesch retired as a council member of Gorinchem.
