Annet Ardesch was born in Den Helder and moved with her parents to Gorinchem in 1966. After secondary school she lived for a year abroad for improving her French before starting her study at the Academy of Arts, ‘St. Joost’, in Breda where she graduated in 1977. After graduation, Annet Ardesch has been working as an artist in Gorinchem and her work has been regularly nationwide exhibited. In addition, she takes on assignments from private individuals, companies, organisations and the government.
From the early nineties, Annet Ardesch has also been working for an artist agency where she provided amongst others the publicity for artists, wrote texts, designed posters and program booklets. Clients were for instance Flairck (acoustic band) and Laurens van Rooyen (pianist/composer). After this, she became the deputy director at Original Music/Laurens van Rooyen BV in Maarssen. Subsequently she worked for years at De Nieuwe Doelen Theatre in Gorinchem as the chairperson of the program committee.
Also she has been writing articles, reviews and interviews for the local press and in addition, she had her own art section and a monthly political cartoon. From 2000 until 2010 Annet Ardesch was a member of the city council in Gorinchem.
Since 2004 she is a police sketch artist and works in this capacity also for the private sector. With her expertise she is regularly invited to participate in TV shows in the Netherlands as well as in Belgium. |
